Randy Sprecher was drafted to serve in the Vietnam war, but due to colorblindness wound up serving in Augsburg, Germany. In Germany, Randy developed a deep love for German beers and when he moved back to California, he was sad to learn he couldn't import his favorites. So, Sprecher decided to take craft brewing into his own hands - he applied to study fermentation science at UC-Davis and he bagan brewing his own beer at home. When California denied him a license to brew beer in his own facility, he packed everything up in his VW bus and took a job in Wilwaukee with Pabst. Four years and $40,000 later, Sprecher had what he needed to start the very first post-Prohibition craft brewery in Milwaukee. Sprecher bought used brewery equipment via auction, including a 16-oz. bottling machine from Coca Cola, and some of that original equipment is still in use today! In addition to beer, Sprecher was fascinated with the idea of crafing better sodas, and began creating root beer and cream soda in addition to beer. There's a lot that continues to set Sprecher apart. They are one of the only breweries in the US that brews using gas-fired kettles, and Sprecher features raw Wisconsin honey in its root beer and cream soda. Randy Sprecher retired in early 2020 after achieving what he set out to do - brew bevvies that are truly in a league of their own.

We ship ground from the East Coast. All orders ship within 48 hours. If you live on the East Coast, you should get your order in 2-3 days. If you live on the West Coast, you’ll receive it in under a week. We’ll be sure to get you tracking so you can follow progress.

All bottles are 12 oz, with the exception of our Sprecher offerings, most of which come in a generous 16 oz bottle.
Your sodas come packed in 100% recyclable packaging made from cardboard and paper pulp. Of course accidents happen, but our packaging is tough as nails, so your sodas have the best chance of arriving unscathed.
We currently ship to the “lower 48” states. (Hawaii, we know you’re lower than all the other states. We don’t know why people say it this way).
