Legacy is right. Pete Caruso runs the family business today, as the fourth generation of root beer brewers. It was Pete's grandpa who bought the Black Bear bottling plant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1961. Back in 1961, the root beer was just called "Grandpa's." Even though the root beer name has changed, the root beer recipe hasn't changed since 1978. Caruso's Legacy now produces five delicious craft flavors.
